welcome!
Adventure With The Cooks is a blog for adventure travel lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and first time moms trying to keep in touch with their passions.
Hi, I’m Anna, the face behind Adventure with the Cooks!
I am an adventure traveler by heart and a photographer by trade!
You may have stumbled upon my blog looking for travel tips, but don’t be shy! I also write about all things Utah, hiking and camping guides, packing guides, traveling with kids and navigating being a first time mom. Feel free to stop and stay awhile!
Meet the Cooks
ANNA: The main face behind this blog and @adventurewithanna_ on Instagram and Tik Tok.
RICH: The most talented Instagram husband around!
BELLA: Rescued as a stray when Anna was in high school, she is an adventurous Chihuahua who is always up for a nap in the sun.
BODHI: Our wild child, 2 year old, German Shepherd. He is a fan of mountain lake swims, playing fetch and bothering his older sister.
BABY C: Our little girl who will be joining us in December 2022!
My name is Anna and we are currently based in Northern Utah but I was born and raised in North Carolina.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a small town on a beautiful lake nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains (if you have seen the movie “Dirty Dancing”, you might be familiar).
I spent all of my days outside, whether on the water or escaping in the woods with my best friend. We were not a frequent traveling family, but we did make yearly trips out to California to visit family, some beach trips and an occasional cruise.
My first time out of the country was when I was 14 or 15 and I went with family friends to the British Virgin islands to stay on a catamaran for a week. I credit this trip (and those family friends) with giving me the desire and drive to want to see more of the world.
I frequently had a camera with me, especially on trips, as my love for that hobby started at a young age. Here we are years later, and I am lucky enough to be doing this as a career!
We love to spend our time traveling, hiking, camping, snowboarding, scuba diving, boating and relaxing at home with our dogs. We are so happy and thankful you are here for the ride!
xo, Anna
