Hikes in Utah to do before summer is over🥾☀️ Save and share with your hiking buddy! Gloria Falls 2.3 miles and 541 ft elevation gain Little Cottonwood Canyon No dogs! Great one for younger kids wanting to try something above an easy walk Stewart Cascade Falls 3.5 miles 652 ft elevation gain You can get to it through American Fork Canyon or up Provo Canyon through Sundance Dogs allowed! You can also walk to the bottom of the waterfall and play in the stream Primrose overlook via horse flat Trail 3.3 miles and 830 ft elevation gain American Fork Canyon There can be limited cell service at this parking lot and on trail. Dogs allowed! Lake Mary 2.3 miles and 803 ft elevation gain Big Cottonwood Canyon (park at Brighton) No dogs and no swimming! Wildflowers are amazing right now🌻 Cecret Lake 1.8 miles and 465 ft elevation gain Little Cottonwood Canyon To get to the main trailhead, you have to pay a fee and parking can be limited, especially during wildflower season (right now). You can also park at the town of Alta and hike an additional 2 1/2 miles. No dogs and no swimming! Date nights in Utah that cost less than your Targe Date nights in Utah that cost less than your Target run 🛒➡️🥂 Save this before you default to dinner and a movie again: 🧖‍♀️ @utahlakesauna — lakeside Nordic sauna at Utah Lake State Park, cold plunge straight into the lake between rounds. $36 for a community session and you’ll leave feeling reset. 🦁🍻 @hoglezoo Brew — the zoo, but make it a grown-up night. Drinks, live music, and you get to see the animals without 800 strollers in your way. 🛶 Provo River float with @highcountryrafting — grab a tube, float Provo Canyon for about 90 minutes, shuttle included. Bring snacks, bring sunscreen, forget your phone exists (maybe don’t bring it as we have lost a few to the river 😅) 🎨 @colormemineslc — paint pottery you’ll actually keep. Zero skill required, maximum “we made something together” points. ♨️ @mystichotsprings — vintage cast-iron tubs fed by natural hot springs in Monroe, mountain views. This one’s a longer drive (~2.5-3 hrs) so plan it as a day trip or overnight, not a quick sitter-window date. 🔥🍫 Campfire + s’mores up American Fork Canyon — pull off anywhere scenic, build a fire, and let the conversation do the rest. Please adhere to local fire restrictions (save this one for the winter!) More low-key options if you’re short on time or budget: 🎳 Bowling league night — cheap, easy, a little competitive 🍦 Split a dessert flight somewhere new, skip dinner entirely 🌅 Sunset drive up a canyon with gas station snacks and good music 🎨 Paint night at home with a $10 kit instead of a studio 🍿 Free outdoor movie night at a city park (check your rec calendar) Most of these don’t need a sitter for more than 2 hours or a big budget.
